A Long Time Coming

It’s been 2 years since I first starting dreaming about having my own design business and creating pretty things for neat people. Life is so much more enjoyable when you’re enjoying it. Loving what you do {for a living} is one of God’s greatest blessings. I finally made time to post some photos from my photoshoot last fall, Emily Steffen photographed my little tea party scene in the woods, along with my wedding stationery. My goal this year is to keep my Etsy shop stocked full of personalizable wedding stationery. So, friends, here are some photos for your enjoyment.

Open Air Affair

Hello! I’m so excited to announce…..drum roll….. that a set of wedding invitations I designed are going to be shown in the Spring/Summer issue of Wisconsin Bride magazine. They’ll be shown in the Open Air Affair feature, be sure to pick up your copy in stores this weekend. Here is a glimpse, I’ll post more photos soon.

Hitched, Again.

I have to admit, I love being photographed almost as much as I love designing wonderful paper goods. So, when my dear friend, Emily Steffen, asked me to model for her workshop, of course I said YES! It look but a little bit of convincing for my husband to agree. We had a blast dressing up as Bride & Groom for her mock wedding photography workshop. Emily is so very talented and a joy to work with. I also got the pleasure of meeting Lisa of Simply Fabulous, who I had the honor of designing her logo & identity for. She styled the whole photoshoot and did a fabulous job at that!

Here are a couple of teaser photos, to see more visit Emily’s blog.

One of the work shop attendees, Jessica, also posted photos on her blog.

And today the photos were featured on Minnesota Bride’s homepage.

Welcome.

In the words of the ever so flattering Mr. Collins, welcome to my humble abode.

Just wanted to share a bit about myself.

1. I’m a huge fan of apples. I eat at least one apple a day. Pink lady is my favorite. Another true fact is that my husband proposed to me at my fav antique store, with my ring on the core of a Fisher Price Happy Apple.

2. I have a collection of Russian Nesting Dolls, or also know as Matryoshka dolls. My Babcia (grandmother) gave me my first set.

3. Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice is one of my favorite books, I’m a sucker for period books and movies. One day I may need glasses from all of the nightime reading I do. If that day comes, I’ll be sure to get lenses to fit this rad pair of my grandmother’s glasses.

4. Cameo Love. What more is there to say?

5. I can’t say NO to a cute pair of t-strap or mary jane shoes. Oh, and I’m a twin. So my mom painted us each a cute litte name pin.

6. BOWS. I may not be a little girl anymore, but I still love bows.

In addition to the above mentioned items, I dig fonts. I dig patterns.  I dig design. Please let me design something for you? Pretty, pretty please.
